Iridium Aparcamientos, the parking lot company belonging to filial Iridium Concesiones, was awarded the Administrative Concession on the 18th of November 2009 for the public works for the construction and subsequent operation of an underground parking lot in the plaza of the Ayuntamiento de Cambrils in Tarragona. The underground parking is located in one the city?s most congested areas, called the Centro Direccional, which includes a series of administrative buildings and services, such as the Council, sports pavilion and swimming pool, schools and medical clinic and involves a proposed investment of 4.2 million Euros and 300 parking spaces.
The bidding group headed by Iridium Aparcamientos was awarded the licence for forty years for the parking lot at the Nuevo Hospital de la Fe in Valencia on the 11th of November 2009. This parking lot will be open 24 hours a day for the users of the new hospital with approximately 1,000 beds. In order to provide this service to the hospital, the concessionaire will manage 1,716 spaces distributed in three areas, north, south and surface. The proposed investment is eleven million Euros.
On the 3rd of November, the bidding group, headed by Iridium Aparcamientos, was awarded a forty-year concession for the Av. de las Comunidades de Mérida parking lot. The purpose of the contract is to prepare the parking lot project and the surface plaza, together with its construction and operation. The concessionaire will operate 318 parking spaces that will be exclusively for rotational and subscriber use, with a proposed investment of five million Euros.
Lastly, Iridium Aparcamientos was awarded the administrative concession service on the 28th of July for the underground parking lot operation in Calle O?Donell (Madrid) for the Hospital General Universitario ?Gregorio Marañón?. This is for a five-year period that can be yearly extended to a maximum of ten years. The bid fee was 2.95 million Euros that has to be charged each year, over a total period of five years. The parking lot consists of 897 places distributed as 397 in rotation and 500 as monthly subscribers for users from the actual hospital.
